Dr. Brooke Ligon is a Board Certified Neurologist and also has a Ph. D. in Neuroscience. She practiced Neurology at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Boston and returned to Tufts Graduate School for Biomedical Science for her Ph.D.. She became an Assistant Professor of Neurology at Tufts Medical Center and a Research Assistant Professor of Neuroscience at Tufts University. Her research described the ability of gamma-amino butyric acid (GABA) to protect insulin producing cells and initiate regeneration. That research is now extended to human trials in Sweden.
