The research at Mitokine Bioscience extends the work of Founder and CEO, Dr. Brooke Ligon. Dr. Ligon received her medical degree from University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, Neurology training at Tufts Medical Center and her Ph.D in Neuroscience from the Sackler School at Tufts University School of Medicine. The science is based on the hypothesis that cells leak growth factors when injured to protect surrounding cells from further damage and stimulate cell division to replace the irreparable.
