Dr. Brooke Ligon is a Board Certified Neurologist and also has a Ph. D. in Neuroscience. She practiced Neurology at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Boston and returned to Tufts Graduate School for Biomedical Science for a Ph.D. in Neuroscience. She became an Assistant Professor of Neurology at Tufts Medical Center and a Research Assistant Professor of Neuroscience at Tufts University. Her research described the ability of gamma-amino butyric acid (GABA) to protect insulin producing cells and initiate regeneration. That research is now extended to human trials in Sweden.
